Echomen
Anton and Chris first met in 1998 through as mutual friend Mark Armstrong (Lexicon Avenue), and then went on to produce a single under the name ‘Bone City’. This single featured Graeme “Cheb” Stewart on keyboards, who was playing on some of Chris’s ‘New Funk Theory’ projects. In 2000 Anton and Chris got back together to produce a track and found that they had both grown up listening to the same eighties bands as each other such as, ‘Depeche Mode’, ‘New Order’ and ‘The Cure’ They drew from their shared influences and put together ‘Orient’ then ‘Havana’ which were released ‘End Recordings’. Both received massive support from the likes of Danny Howells , Sasha , Digweed etc. To follow they felt a vocal track was needed so they created ‘Thru 2 You’ on ‘Airtight’ which featured Graeme “Cheb” Stewart on vocals. The video made for this track was also featured on TV with programmes including ‘Seb Fontaines Big Night Out’. They have now had around twelve releases under this name altogether and as ‘Echomen’ have taken their live ‘decks and effects’ show on the road and played at various clubs in the UK and around the world for the past three years.
